Production of Aluminum Recycled Base Metals
Production of aluminum secondary alloy ingots (recycled ingots)

Our main product is recycled aluminum ingots made primarily from aluminum scrap. One-third of the aluminum ingots consumed in Japan are produced domestically, and most of them are recycled ingots.
Advantages and Importance of Recycled Base Metals

Recycled metal requires only 3% of the energy needed to produce new metal from bauxite, which means 97% of energy can be saved. And bauxite is a finite resource, and utilizing the characteristic of aluminum, which can be recycled many times, is extremely important for energy conservation, resource saving, and environmental protection. Our company promotes the recycling of aluminum scrap, starting with over one million aluminum cans per month.
High-level quality control

The components contained in aluminum scrap used as raw material for recycled ingots are diverse, and the chemical composition is not consistent.
Aluminum can achieve strength, heat resistance, and other properties according to its application by adding several other metals.
However, since the added metals may be present in very small amounts, the production of recycled ingots requires more advanced quality control than the production of new ingots.
Our company has been striving for years to improve quality and quality control, was designated as a JIS-approved factory in 1980, and acquired ISO9001:2000 international certification in 2003 (registered updated to ISO9001:2008 in 2009).

Promoting an eco-friendly recycling society
To help understand the importance of recycling

A few years ago, the recycling rate of aluminum cans in Japan was around 65%, with the rest being buried in landfills. To support the improvement of waste separation systems, it has now exceeded the 90% mark*. However, in 2004, the overall recycling rate of aluminum showed a decreasing trend for the first time. The conventional waste separation and collection system has become nearly complete, and to further increase the recycling rate, it is becoming more important to improve the recycling rates of items other than aluminum cans and to change individual awareness. Our company is engaged in activities that not only manufacture recycled aluminum but also help local communities understand the importance of recycling and promote an environmentally friendly recycling society.
*In 2012, Japan's aluminum can recycling rate was 94.7%.
Active factory tours and cooperation in education

In every municipality, reducing waste has become an urgent issue due to the shortage of landfill sites and rising incineration costs. Many organizations visit our factory each month to observe recycling operations. Additionally, to help children who will lead the future better understand the necessity of recycling, we actively accept school tours as well. As a "socially responsible company that protects global resources," we actively engage in activities to become a driving force in promoting a recycling-oriented society.
