Currently, maintaining a sustainable world over the long term, from environmental, social, and economic perspectives, is a major challenge globally. Asuka Industries has played a role in preserving the global environment through recycling activities. Moving forward, in order to realize a sustainable world-both environmentally, socially, and economically?we support the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015, and will continue to advance various initiatives aimed at achieving the SDGs.

Economy
In order to continue and develop the economy, the concept of 'responsible consumption and production' is becoming increasingly important. The idea of sustainable management of limited natural resources, preventing, reducing, and recycling waste is essential for manufacturing in the coming era. At Asuka Industry, we actively prevent, reduce, and recycle waste, making extensive use of metal scrap not only for aluminum, our main raw material, but also for various additive metals necessary for manufacturing aluminum alloys. Furthermore, recycling activities are generally expected to significantly reduce environmental impact. Since urban waste is used as a raw material, the risk of resource depletion is low, and from the perspective of stable supply, it also contributes to sustainable economic activity. At Asuka Industry, we fulfill our 'responsible consumption and production' and undertake initiatives to achieve sustainable economic activity.

Recycling aluminum and various metal scraps
Environment
Recycling activities (utilization of recycled raw materials) place significantly less burden on the global environment compared to producing new metal raw materials and are environmentally friendly activities. However, even in recycling activities, there is some environmental impact during processing stages such as collection, transportation, and remelting. At Asuka Industries, aiming to further reduce the environmental impact of recycling activities on the global environment, we will work to reduce environmental impact through concrete actions such as the reuse of water resources and the adoption of melting furnaces with lower environmental impact.

Through recycling activities, we promote the reduction of the burden on the global environment.
Approach
- Thorough reuse of cooling water with large water storage tanks
- By using a high-efficiency Regenerative Burner furnace, fuel use is reduced and CO2 emissions are cut by 35% compared to conventional levels
- Prevention of wastewater outflow using an oil-water separation tank and two large-scale balancing reservoirs
- Planted 500 garden trees and expanded the company's green area
Society
To realize a sustainable society, efforts not only towards the environment but also towards people themselves are essential. For companies, human resources are a valuable asset, and providing opportunities for nurturing talent and enabling equal participation is important both for employees and for the company. At the same time, enriching the lives of employees and people in general is one of the important goals within the SDGs that the United Nations aims for.
In addition, we consider it one of Asuka Industry's important responsibilities to provide opportunities for many people to understand the importance of recycling activities and to learn about recycling. Through various initiatives, including education for people both inside and outside the company, we aim to contribute to a sustainable society.
